Cyclocross

We are stepping on the heals of the cyclocross season in Minnesota. I'll be doing the Fat Tire Festival up in Hayward on Sept 13 & 14 on my cross bike again.
Last time I did this race I was 11th on my cross bike. I'm hoping to break into the top 10 this year but no promises. I'm still trying to figure out what bike to ride.

Oct racing and more

Boom Island cross race was this last weekend. I would probably have to say the this is one of the better times I have had on my cross bike this season. Great course, great spectators and lots of beer afterwards.
Doug, Bjorn and myself rode away from the field on the first lap then a lap and a half in I slide out on one of the corners. It took me awhile to get back up and by the time I did they were to far ahead for me to catch back up. I rode the rest of the race myself finishing in a comfortable 3rd place.
Next weekend if the Twine race followed by Powderhorn park on Sunday.

This is one of the better venues in the area and I always love this course.

Flight of the Conchords Ep2 She's So Hot - Boom

I just can't get enough of these guys.

So this fall I told myself I would start using my blogger account. I've had this thing for over a year now but I can never find time to sit down and put anything on it.
Cyclo-cross has officially started. I've won 2 out of the 3 races that I have entered this fall so I'm off to a pretty good start.

So I haven't waited as long as these guys for a beer. I may just go to happy hour tomorrow.

It's been awhile

I haven't hade time or access to post on here lately because I haven't had a computer. I just got a new mac in the mail yesterday.

Last week was the state cyclocross race in Bassett Creek Park. We had about 50 riders in the A. I stayed with Bjorn and Doug for the first two laps then started to feel sick and backed off a little bit. For the rest of the race I sat in third place riding only hard enough so 4th wouldn't catch me. I just wasn't feeling well, I went home and napped for about and hour after the race which made me feel good enough to go to the after party at one on one afterward.
Bike racing is over with for the year...time to do some work on the house.

One of my favorite cross races is coming up this weekend. The Red Barn Classic up in Taylor Falls is a rippin course with a short steep run-up right before the finish line. Beer handups and and a costume contest will make it pretty epic this year. Afterwards I'll be heading down to the Silver Cycling team party in Apple Valley then off to some Halloween party's.

A little new

I'm still getting used to this whole blogging thing. I mean what do I write about that I feel is ok for people to read about. Do people actually want to know about what time I get up in the morning or when I go to bed? Do you want to hear about my work day or my bike racing? I would actually rather talk about more important things...for instance....
1. If drinking and driving is illegal, why do bars have parking lots?
2. Do vegetarians eat animal crackers?
and
3. Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons because they were created and not born so therefore no umbilical stump to create one?
All stupid questions but please help me out...I've been contemplating all of theses questions lately and I need some answers.
On a side note I drove up to Duluth yesterday with "Hollywood" Henderson to do the Spirit Mt. Cyclocross race. It went well considering my legs felt a bit flat at the start line but after a few laps I started to feel a little better and won by about 4 minutes. That makes three wins in a row.....yeah for me!!!
Here is a couple of cool pics.
